Thanks to Mike Foster with the Winston-Salem Rescue Mission for stopping by the Morning Show and talking about their first ever Mission Mile Road Race this Saturday, July 31, at 8am.
Location: Downtown Winston-Salem (Corner of 7th Street and Trade Street)
The Mission Mile offers a fun experience for all ages...from the family friendly Beginners or Intermediate races, to the super fast Elite level. The first 300 entrants receive a custom 100% cotton race t-shirt, a special Mission Mile water bottle and a great goody bag. While there, enjoy a tour of the Rescue Mission or visit the Downtown Arts District.
A portion of the proceeds will help needy kids in our area through the Winston-Salem Rescue Mission's Back-to-School Backpack Program in August.
