UPDATE: A multi-state Amber Alert for a 4 month old infant has been canceled. Monroe police reporting that 4-month old Jaleel Howard was found earlier this morning in Chesterfield County, South Carolina. The suspect, who is not the child's father, has been arrested.

Legal ‘jail break’? The Library of Congress had made some sweeping, in-line changes to one of U.S.'s most powerful pieces of copyright law: the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). It's now OK to jailbreak your iPhone (and to install unapproved software on any other cell phone you might own). In other words, if you want to make your iPhone do something Apple doesn't want it to do (by installing unapproved software), you're within your rights. Apple execs can't be happy about this. Investigators with the National Weather Service said a tornado touched down in the Low Gap community of Surry county Monday evening, just missing Raven Knob Boy Scout camp. Investigators ranked the tornado as an EF-0, meaning the storm was packing winds estimated at 80 mph. About 400 Boy Scouts staying at the camp -- some of whom were in tents -- had to move to some nearby shelters. No injuries associated with the storm were reported.

Two wildfires in southern California have consumed more than 15,000 acres. Thousands have been evacuated. Close to 1,000 firefighters are battling the 2 wild fires. A state of emergency was issued last Tuesday. The cause of the fire is still unknown.

A bank in Clemmons is investigating how a counterfeit $100 dollar bill wound up as part of a customer's withdrawal. WXII reporting that Dee Grimes often cashes her paycheck at Southern Community Bank in Clemmons. On Monday, she cashed her check and drove to BB&T in Hillside to deposit the money into another account. According to Grimes, officials at BB&T told her one of the $100 dollar bills was counterfeit. Grimes said BB&T notified Southern Community and the bank immediately started investigating. The bank's investigation found Grimes' claim to be true and she will be given a ‘new’ $100 dollar credit. NASCAR team owner Jack Roush and a passenger were injured late yesterday in a private jet accident at an airport in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The Beechcraft Premier jet, registered to Roush Fenway Racing, snapped ‘in two’ upon impact. Roush and the passenger were taken to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries. The NTSB is investigating the accident.
