Long-term mortgage rates fell again last week. Both 30- and 15-year fixed-rate mortgages at their lowest levels. The average rate on a 30-year fixed-rate mortgage in the week ending July 22 was 4.56%. That’s the lowest level since 1971. Kaye Cowher, the wife of former Steeler’s football coach Bill Cowher, died of skin cancer on Friday. Kaye was 54 years old. Kate Cowher is survived by her husband and three daughters. Kaye was a former basketball player at North Carolina State. A private funeral service will be held Monday in North Carolina. Pro golfer Carl Peterson winning the Canadian Open on Sunday. Peterson has ties to the Triad…He went to high School at Grimsley and college at NC State. This is Peterson’s first PGA victory since winning the Wyndham Championship in Greensboro back in 2008.
