Wal-Mart is cutting gas prices by 10 cents a gallon (at its participating Wal-Mart fuel stations) over the next three months. To get the gas and diesel fuel discount, you have to use a re-loadable Wal-mart gift card or a Walmart credit card. The ‘roll back’ on gas prices ends on September 30th. The traditional family household (with a husband and wife living in the same home) is on the decline in Forsyth County. According to new data from the latest US Census, more people in Forsyth County are living alone or with unmarried partners. Single family households headed by women increased by 26% since 2000. 73% of white children and 57% of Hispanic children are growing up in two-parent households, compared to 27% of black children growing up with

The Triad’s first IMAX theater is a hit. Both showings of Tuesday's debut screenings of "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" were sold out in the new IMAX theater at the Grand 18 on University Parkway. According to the Winston-Salem Journal, more than half of the tickets for the July 14 release of the latest Harry Potter film in IMAX have already been sold.
FYI: An IMAX theater screen is larger than ordinary, measuring 60-feet wide and 30-feet high, with a curved surface and a specially treated screen that reflects the image better. Extra speakers are added. And two projectors are required to fill the screen.
