The Guilford County School board discussed options last night on how to bring all of the students at Eastern Guilford High School back to one location.
In a 9-2 vote, the Guilford County School Board decided to build a "pod village" for Eastern Guilford High School students next year.Eastern Guilford students will stay split at their temporary locations for the rest of the year. A new school should be built within 3 years. (news14carolina)

A High Point service station manager was taken to the hospital Tuesday morning after a possible anthrax scare
Police say the manager at the BP at Lexington Avenue in High Point called 911 after he opened a letter addressed to an employee and some white powder fell out. The note reportedly said, "You shouldn't treat women like this, here's some anthrax." Officials say that chances are slim that the powder is anthrax.

"In God We Trust," the official national motto since 1956 will be hard to find on the new presidential dollar coins scheduled for release to the public in February. The Motto…will be moved from the face of the coin to the thin edge. The new gold-colored dollar pieces, features images of U.S. presidents. The official reason for the design change?
To allow space for larger portraits of the presidents on the face and the Statue of Liberty on the reverse, according to the Mint. The new coins will be the same size as the 1979 Susan B. Anthony coins. www.worldnetdaily.com

Ailing Cuban leader Fidel Castro will not make an appearance during the 5 day 80th birthday celebration which started yesterday in Cuba. Castro has been seen by the public only in photos and videos since July 31 after he temporarily ceding power to his brother. Details of his ailment and his medical treatment are state secrets. (AP)
