Cyber Monday…one of the biggest days to shop on line.
The holiday shopping season off to a good start nationwide.
A national research group that tracks sales saying that total sales on Friday were up 6% compared to the same day last year.

Hundreds of parents and students from Eastern Guilford High met a church yesterday are demanding answers, several weeks after a fire destroyed their school.Students are back in class at two different campuses…Many want to use the Lucent Technologies building on Millstream Road until a new school is built which could take up to three years to build.Another option is finding land to create a modular high school, basically with a bunch of portable classrooms.The Guilford County School board is considering using the Lucent building, along with some other plans. -This Friday, December 1 all passengers, including back seat riders, must wear a seatbelt. Back seat passengers could get warning tickets starting this Friday… $10 dollar tickets will be handed out beginning July 2007.
-Also…The state’s sales tax will decrease from 7% to 6.75%.

The 20th-ranked Wake Forest Demon Deacons clinched the ACC's Atlantic Division on Saturday…with a 38-24 victory over the Maryland Terrapins. Wake will play Georgia Tech in the ACC title game this Saturday in Jacksonville. Wake has not won an ACC title since 1970. (AP / WXII)
