Severe weather in the south and more snow across the Mid-west…
-An apparent tornado ripped through the New Orleans area early this morning knocking down power lines and injuring at least 7 people.
-Severe thunderstorms producing large hail and a few tornadoes will be possible across Mississippi and Alabama through this afternoon, with shifting into the Florida Panhandle and South Georgia tonight.

Over 400 jobs coming to the Triad:
Winston-Salem Business, Inc. announcing on Monday that home builder C.P. Morgan has selected Forsyth County as their Piedmont-Triad headquarters. Currently C.P. Morgan plans to build homes in Winston Salem, Greensboro and Rural Hall. http://www.wxii12.com/money/10990746/detail.html

North Korea has agreed to shut down its nuclear reactor in exchange for 50,000 tons of fuel oil. The two Koreas, the United States, host China, Japan and Russia reached the agreement after talks that began last week. http://www.usaradio.com/news_details.php?catid=2&storyid=1014

A Nigerian government spokesman is accusing CNN of paying for and staging a report that showed 24 hostages being held by masked gunmen in the remote area of southern Nigeria.

A man wearing a trench coat and toting a shotgun…fatally wounded 5 people inside the Trolley Square mall in Salt Lake City, Utah, last night. The gunman was killed during the rampage. A campaign blogger for presidential candidate John Edwards has quit after outcry over 'Anti-Catholic' comments that she posted on her personal Blog site.
A spokeswoman for the Edwards campaign, confirmed that chief blogger Amanda Marcotte was "no longer working for the campaign" as of Monday.
Bill Donohue, president of the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights, demanded last week that Edwards fire Marcotte and a second blogger for remarks deemed anti-Catholic.
Edwards, a former North Carolina senator, called the messages personally offensive, but originally decided to keep Marcotte and McEwan on staff. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,251620,00.html

A mysterious disease is killing off U.S. honeybees.
Beekeepers in 22 states have reported losses of up to 80% of their colonies in recent weeks, leaving many unable to rent the bees to farmers for pollination of crops. http://www.usaradio.com/news_details.php?catid=12&storyid=1063
