Two members of the Gideons International, have been arrested after trying to hand out Bibles to school kids while on a public sidewalk near Key Largo School in Florida. School officials called police…who arrested the two men on January 19th and charged with trespassing . Authorities still investigating a shooting in Jamestown.
Donna Jones fired a dozen rounds in her neighborhood Wednesday morning. One shot hit a neighbor and another hit a deputy in the leg. Jones finally surrendered to police. She is being held on a million dollars bond.

A bill filed in the state Senate on Wednesday would allow courtroom oaths to be taken on a person’s preferred Religious text including the Christian Bible. State law requires witnesses to use only the Holy Bible when swearing or affirming truthful testimony.
A lawsuit challenging the existing state Oath law is pending. A Muslim woman and the North Carolina chapter of the ACLU have sued the state because she was not allowed to swear on the Quran when she was called as a witness in a court case in 2003.

Kids, sleep and weight gain. Children who do not get enough sleep are more likely to be overweight. A study from Northwestern University tracked 2,000 kids over 5 years. Just an extra hour of sleep a night helped cut extra weight gain by 30%.
