The Alliance Defense Fund reporting that a judge in Florida will allow
Gideons to once again distribute Bibles on public property near a public school in Key Largo. An official ruling on the case is pending.

A student at UNCG has been hospitalized with a contagious blood infection. Of the 300 students who attended classes with the infected student, more than 100 students were given antibiotics as a precaution. The infected student is recovering. The Guilford County Health Department saying that the infection is only spread through close contact of 1 to 3 feet, for more than 30 minutes.

Baseball star Barry Bonds may be on his to prison instead of the Hall of Fame. The five count indictment coming down after his testimony in a federal investigation into the use of steroids by professional athletes.

With the busiest flying time of the year approaching, President Bush putting pressure on the airline industry to be on time…or else. A powerful yet deadly cyclone has made landfall on the southern shore of Bangladesh. At least 500 people have lost their lives.

North Carolina-based Missions ministry JAARS has been given a high flying gift. A turbo-prop, ten passenger airplane was recently donated by Marhsall Carter (the chairman of the New York Stock Exchange). Officials with JAARS saying that the new plane is perfect for the short runways in Indonesia. JAARS serves the spiritual, physical, and social needs of people around the world including Bible translation.

A pastor from New Mexico is camping out on the roof of a Chick-Fil-A restaurant in Albuquerque for a good cause. Dr. Michael Hattabaugh is up on the roof to raise money and awareness for the (quote) millions of children who need a roof over their heads. The goal of the ‘Get Mike Down’ campaign is two-hundred-thousand dollars.Half of the money raised will go to provide housing for children facing long-term care at an Albuquerque hospital, the other half will go to help AIDS orphans in Africa.

The actors who played the Munchkins in the 1939 film classic, "The Wizard of Oz," are finally getting a ‘star’ on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.There are only nine actors of the 125-member Munchkins cast still alive.
