Saturday is the final day for Early Voting before Election Day next Tuesday.
Long lines for early voting across the state prompted the State Board of Elections to allow the extension of Early Voting poll hours on Saturday. Residents in Guildford County can early vote until 5pm on Saturday. Forsyth County Board of Elections will make a decision at noon tomorrow whether to extend poll hours. Most counties in our listening area are sticking to the 1pm deadline on Saturday.

Democratic Senate candidate Kay Hagan is suing incumbent Senator Elizabeth Dole over the quote ‘Godless’ political ad which exposes Hagan’s ties to an atheist political action group.

Enough already! Shawn Turschak of Chapel Hill was tired of someone stealing his McCain-Palin campaign signs from his yard. Turschak, who has an electrical engineering degree, hooked up (a third McCain- Palin sign) to a power source making it LIVE. Turschak also put up a surveillance camera.
