WITH ONE DAY LEFT BEFORE THE ELECTION: John McCain is scheduled to hold rallies in seven states, including Florida, Pennsylvania, and his home state of Arizona. Senator Barack Obama will make stops in Florida and Virginia….as well as North Carolina…at UNC-Charlotte.

A new study suggesting that pregnancy rates are much higher among teens who watch TV shows that contain heavy sexual content. Teens who watched overtly sexual content on television were twice as likely to become pregnant over the next three years as those who watched less provocative TV shows. MISSION AVIATION FELLOWSHIP is assisting a number of relief organizations deliver food and medical supplies to refugees in the northern region of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
The African nation is the scene of increasing violence between rebel and government forces. The United Nations estimating that hundreds of thousands of people have fled their homes in the Congo. Some have made it across the border to the neighboring countries of Uganda and Rwanda.

Parts of Asia getting hammered by natural disasters. In China, over the weekend, mudslides and landslides claimed at least 20 lives and destroying more than one-thousand homes.
In Vietnam, a week of heavy rains and flooding has claimed at least 49 lives.

Melissa Greene, one of the members of Avalon, is working on a solo project. The songs that will appear on the album titled “Next Step” were greatly influenced by the struggle she and her family faced when her brother was diagnosed with stage four cancer. "Next Step" should be out in March (2009). BTW: Melissa wants to assure her fans that she is not leaving Avalon.
