In a "Fact Check" piece, the Associated Press warns that if the current Healthcare Reform Bill passes, your health care premiums will actually go up rather than down. Taxpayers will be funding abortions in the U.S. for the first time ever. A Fox News poll revealed that 55% of Americans oppose the current reforms being considered. BTW: The Health care legislation has been posted on the Internet. House rules provide for a 72-hour public review period.

Officials with Dell saying that they will extend the life of its computer factory in Forsyth County for another three months. Dell will stay open through October. (journalnow)
Local and state transportation officials are considering ‘tolls’ to help pay for new roads projects the state (and in the Triad). The Turnpike Authority, created in 2002, is authorized to develop and maintain nine projects across North Carolina. six projects are being considered for toll roads. To create a toll road, the state must give drivers a FREE alternative route as well.

An ongoing debate over the exact location of the county line between Guilford and Alamance Counties has been resolved. Guilford County Commissioners approved the original 1849 dividing line last night. But the mayor of Gibsonville will likely ask state legislators to reject the line until affected citizens in his city can have their voice heard.
