Police are wondering who is shooting out car windows along Wendover Avenue in Greensboro…with a BB gun. Police received at least 15 reports of shattered car windows on Saturday afternoon along Wendover Avenue between Tarrant Rd. and Guilford College Rd..
Police suspect that the vandals are teenagers with nothing better to do.

One employee killed and two others wounded at a maintenance building on the campus of Ohio State University. A suspect was taken into custody. Officials with Ohio State (located in Columbus, Ohio) saying that no students were involved in the shooting and classes will be held as usual today. (Fox News)

The Supreme Court will hear an emotionally charged case between the grieving father of a Marine who died in Iraq and the anti-gay protesters who picket military funerals with inflammatory messages like “Thank God for dead soldiers”. The high court agreed yesterday to consider whether the protestors are protected by the First Amendment or limited by the rights of the mourners. The protesters, members of a Kansas based church, picket military funerals claiming that US soldier deaths in Iraq and in Afghanistan are punishment for the nation’s tolerance of homosexuality.

FIVE HOMES WERE DESTROYED AND SEVERAL OTHERS DAMAGED BY A TORNADO IN WESTERN OKLAHOMA YESTERDAY. No injuries were reported.

A MAGNITUDE FIVE EARTHQUAKE STRUCK HAWAII YESTERDAY EVENING. The epicenter was 13 miles southwest of the coast of the big island.

National Weather Service saying this past winter was ONE of the coldest winters on record. Greensboro experienced its 10th coldest winter on record, going back to 1928. The average temperature this past winter was 37 degrees, making it the coldest winter since 1982. Greensboro had 14 days of snowfall (vs an average of 3.7 days of snowfall)
Total snowfall amount for the Triad so far …13.6 inches. The average snowfall in Greensboro is 7.4 inches. (NOAA) BTW: The first day of spring is Saturday, March 20.

ONE OF TWO US BAPTIST MISSIONARIES STILL HELD ON KIDNAPPING CHARGES IN HAITI HAS BEEN RELEASED, BUT THE GROUP'S LEADER REMAINS IN CUSTODY. Eleven Americans were arrested for trying to take 33 children out of Haiti after the earthquake.

PITTSBURGH STEELERS QUARTERBACK BEN ROETHLISBERGER IS UNDER INVESTIGATION IN THE ALLEGED SEXAUL ASSAULT OF A GEORGIA COLLEGE STUDENT. The quarterback denies the charges leveled against him, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. A woman who asked not to be named said she saw Roethlisberger and the young woman at two bars together.

THE ABSENCE OF ANTI-ABORTION LANGUAGE MAY HOLD UP HOUSE PASSAGE OF THE HEALTH CARE REFORM BILL. The Stupak anti-abortion language is unlikely to be included in the final measure, leading some House committee chairmen to hold back their votes.
