An American missionary pilot in Indonesia drowned on Sunday. Benjamin Uskert was a pilot and mechanic for Mission Aviation Fellowship. According to a news release from M-A-F, Benjamin was at a beach with a group from a local orphanage when two teenagers ventured into deep water and were swept away from the shore. He and another adult swam out to assist them, but Uskert and one of the youths did not make it back to shore. The Uskerts joined MAF in 2008 and moved to Indonesia last December. Benjamin is survived by his wife Katie and their 3 year old son, Jeremiah. Benjamin was originally from Indiana.
