The young woman who was paralyzed last year, a month before her wedding date, is finally getting married later today in Pittsboro

The bride, Rachelle Friedman, will wear the same dress she chose for the first wedding date, which was scheduled for June of 2010.  Her father will ‘push’ her down the aisle in a wheelchair. Also present at today’s wedding…will be the bridesmaid who pushed Rachelle into a pool at a bridesmaids' party last year (May 2010) in Virginia Beach, Va., causing her to be a quadriplegic. Rachelle has never identified the friend that pushed her into the pool, saying that her friend has suffered even more than she has through the accident.  Rachelle and Chris will honeymoon in Fiji, then Friedman will head to California for more therapy in September.
