A family in need of prayer. The son of a Forsyth County Sheriff's Office employee lost his life in a water-related incident in Nebraska over the weekend. Sgt. Jeremy Rowley was visiting relatives near Kearney on Sunday when his 12-year-old son, Joshua Rowley, passed away. Rowley's stepson, Matthew McAlexander was critically injured in the same accident and is receiving medical treatment in Nebraska.
State Budgets Cuts continue to effect Education throughout NC, this time in Higher Education.. Winston-Salem State University said it will have fewer adjunct professors as it deals with state budget cuts that could top 15 percent. Chancellor Donald Reaves said the school is not considering a tuition increase because it is not fair to offset spending cuts from the state on the backs of students.
THE FOUR ASTRONAUTS WHO WILL FLY THE FINAL SPACE SHUTTLE MISSION ARE NOW AT FLORIDA'S KENNEDY SPACE CENTER. Space Shuttle Atlantis is scheduled to lift off this Friday at 11:26AM, Eastern Time. The space shuttle program began 30 years ago, with the launch of Shuttle Columbia in April of 1981.
