A NOT GUILTY VERDICT HAS BEEN HANDED DOWN IN THE CASEY ANTHONY CASE. The twelve-member jury found Anthony not guilty of first-degree murder yesterday in one of the most high-profile criminal cases in U.S history. The jury did find Anthony guilty of four counts of lying to law enforcement but that she may walk free Thursday morning because of Jail time already served.

Budget cuts could mean programs are scaled back at state parks, and visitors may notice that maintenance or upkeep isn't what it used to be, but state officials hope to avoid closing any parks this year. Among other affected areas, The budget reduces funding for the Clean Water Management, as well as Parks and Recreation. The funding cuts mean that additions to state parks or gamelands are unlikely for the next two years covered by the budget.




A new study suggesting that Environmental factors may play a greater role in autism than previously thought, tipping the scale away from a strict focus on genetics,.The findings suggest that something in the birth environment such as drugs, chemicals or infections -- may be triggering autism in children who are already genetically predisposed to develop the disease.  Autism affects one in every 150 children born today in the United States, or about 1 percent of the population.
