Governor Mike Easley in Greensboro yesterday with a big announcement: Skybus Airlines will now offer low cost flights from PTI. The low-cost carrier will create 375 new jobs and add nonstop service to seven cities.

NASA saying that bad weather at Kennedy Space Center in Florida could postpone the launch of space shuttle Discovery. Lift off is set for 11:38am this morning, but could be pushed to Wednesday or Thursday.
A woman from North Carolina died after a boulder struck her as she was biking with a group of friends at a Virginia state park. The rock struck 48-year-old Sudie Jenkins Hatcher of High Point shortly before 5 pm on Saturday at milepost 28 at the New River Trail State Park. The group said that they could hear the boulder crashing through the woods before it became airborne off a hill and struck Hatcher.
