Guatemala's president has declared that adoptions to the US will be suspended as of January 2008. You can get involved…call your members of congress today to speak up for these children.

A London judge has given the OK for British schools to show Al Gore’s controversial Global Warming Film ‘An Inconvenient Truth’. Teachers in Britain must use guidance notes to balance what the judge calls one sided views presented by the former vice president.

GRIEF COUNSELORS WILL BE ON HAND TODAY FOR STUDENTS AT A SCHOOL ( IN CLEVELAND, OHIO ) WHERE A STUDENT WENT ON A SHOOTING RAMPAGE YESTERDAY. A 14-year old student shot himself after shooting two teachers and two students.

Carroll County officials in southwest Virginia are investigating a Wednesday morning plane crash at the Twin County Airport. Three people were injured.
Strong winds are likely the cause of the crash.

A portion of Highway 421 west of Wilkesboro will be dedicated this morning in memory of NASCAR driver Benny Parsons, who died in January after a bout with cancer. Parsons name is among the elite group of NASCAR's 50 greatest drivers.

Marvel Enterprises has stopped all of its shipments of Curious George products made in China. A California-based non-profit group saying that tests on a random Curious George doll revealed 10 times the new legal maximum of lead. A recall is pending further testing.

Veteran quarterback Vinny Testaverde is the newest (and oldest ) member of the Carolina Panther. Testaverde may start against Arizona on Sunday with Delhomme and Carr both nursing injuries.

Wake Forest will host Florida State at BB+T Field tonight at 7:30pm. The game will be televised on ESPN.
