Dudley Senior High School and Bluford Elementary School in Greensboro were placed on lockdown after gunshots were fired near the two schools yesterday afternoon. School officials said children were on the playground when school resource officers heard shots. A 17 year old was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm on school property.

Bronze flower containers disappearing from cemeteries. In the past three days, the Rockingham County sheriff's department said three different cemeteries have reported missing bronze flower vases. The value of the stolen all-bronze vases is about $29,000 dollars. (Fox8)

VALPARAISO, Indiana (AP) – Jay Weinberg climbed to the roof of his neighborhood convenience store with his guitar and a megaphone to serenade commuters with a musical protest of high gasoline prices—until the police stopped by. The performance lasted about 15 minutes before three Valparaiso police officers arrived and arrested Weinberg on charges of trespassing and disorderly conduct.
