The Illinois House votes to impeach Blagojevich
The unprecedented action sets the stage for a Senate trial on whether the governor should be thrown out of office for corruption and abuse of power. Blagojevich was arrested exactly one month ago on charges of trying to sell President-elect Barack Obama's Senate seat. Impeachment only required 60 votes. The vote was 114 - 1 with three representatives not voting.
