Starbuck’s saying “Hold the Decaf”? The Seattle coffee giant has instructed its US baristas to stop regularly brewing batches of decaffeinated coffee after noon. Not to worry ‘decaffers’, instead, baristas will brew decaffeinated drip coffee only when a customer orders it, a process the company says takes about four minutes.

So you think you have talent? Auditions this Saturday for national anthem and halftime performers for the 2009 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (or MEAC) Basketball Tournament coming in March. Auditions will be held this Saturday (January 31) from 9 to 3 p.m. at the Benton Convention Center in Winston-Salem. The MEAC Basketball Tournament happens March 10-14 at the LJVM in Winston-Salem. Auditions are free and open to the general public.

This Drum Major is calling it quits…after being suspended from his band…all for nodding at President Obama on Inauguration Day. Drum Major John Coleman resigned from the Cleveland Firefighters Memorial Pipes & Drums yesterday, a week after the parade in Washington, DC. Mr. Coleman said that the publicity about his suspension had gotten to be too much. Here is the deal: Mike Engle, one of the band members, stated that Mr. Coleman was suspended because he ignored military protocol. Read more:
