Flash Flood Warning has been issued for Guildford County until 2pm
Locations impacted: Greensboro, High Point and Mcleansville. Two inches of rain fell overnight in the Greensboro area. An additional 1 to 2 inches of rain possible this morning.

THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES IS CONSIDERING A BILL REQUIRING EMPLOYERS PROVIDE FIVE DAYS OF SICK LEAVE. Congressman George Miller of California says the proposal would allow workers to stay home when they have a contagious illness. The H1N1 flu virus has prompted the move.

A 22-year-old Wilkes County woman and her 5-year-old daughter were killed yesterday morning in a head-on crash on Dragway Road near Highway 421. Police saying that Brittney Dancy (the mom) was taking her daughter, Makayla, to school when their vehicle hydroplaned, then collided with a vehicle driven by Sarah Huffman. Huffman, a nurse, performed CPR on the girl until paramedics arrived 15 minutes later. Huffman was treated for minor injuries. Also…During the build, volunteers and spectators are encouraged to bring ‘non-perishable / canned food items to the ‘build’ site. The food drive continues Nov 11-17 at the build site.
