Gas prices edging up another 4 cents overnightTriple A reporting that the national average price for regular unleaded is three dollars, 44 cents a gallon. RECALL: MAZDA IS RECALLING FIFTY THOUSAND CARS BECAUSE OF SPIDER WEBS. Officials with Mazda reporting that spiders like to build webs in the fuel system. That can lead to a blockage which can subsequently lead to a fire. Winston-Salem is cracking down on panhandlers.  There are new panhandling rules in effect this week requiring that all panhandlers must get a permit application from the city's Revenue Department. Panhandlers must undergo a criminal background check in order to get the permit. The permits are free and must be renewed every year.  Panhandlers are no longer allowed to work in the medians. Little Bowen Hammit. the youngest child of Sanctus Real lead singer Matt Hammit (and wife Sarah), is recovering after a second heart surgery. Little baby Bowen was born late last year with a serious heart condition known as Hypo-plastic Left Heart Syndrome. Daddy Matt reporting that doctors were able to remove some of the tubes he was connected to and that Bowen is on track for a quick recovery. Bowen is the couple's third child. Some of Justin Bieber's hair clippings sold for more than $40,000 on eBay this week. After the 17-year-old pop sensation chopped off some of his famous locks, he brought the clippings to the "Ellen" show…where Ellen DeGeneres put the clippings on eBay. The exact amount was $40,668.  The proceeds are being donated to The Gentle Barn, which rescues neglected and abused animals and uses them to help disadvantaged kids.  The winning bidder actually gets to meet Justin Bieber.  Bieber fever continues: He's got two albums in the top five and his movie, "Justin Bieber: Never Say Never" has grossed almost $70 million dollars at the box office since its release last month.   www.wxii12.com/entertainment/27062583/detail.html

A Go-Kart track was the hot topic a recent Board of Alderman meeting in Kernersville. Neighbors complained about the Go-Kart track off Fulp Farm Road that the track is too loud, too dirty and too ugly. City officials said the track doesn't violate any current Kernersville zoning laws or codes. Last night: Georgia Tech all over Wake Forest…80 – 54. Wake is now 1 and 14 in the ACC for the season. Wake plays at Boston College on Sunday.

The Women’s ACC Tournament continues through Sunday at the Greensboro Coliseum.  On Thursday: The Lady Deacons winning their opener with Virginia.

The new ACC Hall of Champions is officially open in Greensboro. This weekend , the ACC Hall of Champions will be open 10 a.m.-7 p.m.  Admission is $5.
