Davidson County man is in critical condition after being discovered on the side of the road on Monday night. Lexington Police found David Craver lying along side of business 85 (south) around 9pm just after a 911 call from someone reporting that a ‘person’ fell out of the back of a red pickup truck. The red pickup in question was last seen heading north toward Thomasville.

Still have a Gift Card from BLOCKBUSTER lying around?  You need to use it by next Wednesday (April 6th). According to a statement on the company's website, BLOCKBUSTER gift cards will no longer be honored after April 6 because of a the company’s bankruptcy proceedings.


Doctors with the American Academy of Pediatrics are warning that young people who spend a lot of time on social media sites, are at risk of ‘Facebook depression’. The new clinical report details both the negative and positive effects of social media use on youth and families. Acceptance by and contact with peers is an important element of adolescent life, but, the "intensity of the online world is thought to be a factor that may trigger depression in some adolescents."
Twenty-two percent said they use the Facebook Places "check-in" feature to look cool. Ten percent use the feature to fit in with the cool people who are doing it, and 10 percent use it to make others jealous. One-third of the respondents admitted to feeling jealous or left out when they see their friends.

Air Force Staff Sgt. Ron Walker dropped his iPhone recently…out of a C-130 cargo plane going 150 mph near a ‘Drop Zone’ south of Aberdeen. The Fayetteville Observer saying that a friend of Walker’s suggested that he try out his Find My iPhone applicationto find his fallen i-phone. Sure enough, Walker found his lost i-phone about six miles away…scratch-free and in perfect working condition.  (WXII)

How can there be more than one Wolfpack? The legal department at NC State University has sent a letter to Loyola University (in New Orleans), raising objections about the school using Wolfpack as its mascot. Loyola started using the name back in the 1930s, but NC State registered the Wolfpack trademark in 1983, the year it won the NCAA Basketball Tournament. Lawyers for both schools are in talks.
