The crew aboard the space shuttle Endeavour will return back to earth around noon today. The landing was moved from Houston to Cape Canaveral in Florida.

Atlanta Falcon’s quarterback Michael Vick pleaded guilty Monday to federal conspiracy charges for his role in an illegal dog fighting operation. Disaster relief workers have given up hope in finding any more survivors after a 7.9 magnitude earthquake hit southeast of Lima, Peru last Wednesday. Crews are now concentrating on clearing the streets of rubble. UNC-G alum Carolyn Bason Long, a 1943 graduate and Youngsville native
has given the school a Million dollar gift. The donation will be used in UNC-G’s Students First Campaign scholarship fund. The remains of the last person missing after the I-35 west bridge collapse in Minnesota have been found. The bridge collapsed into the Mississippi River nearly three weeks ago. This brings the official death toll to 13. (CNN)

Hotel mogul Leona Helmsley (deemed as the "queen of mean" back in the 80’s) died of heart failure on Monday. Helmsley was 87. HELSINKI, Finland…The Finns, who introduced a birch-tree sweetener for gum, have found that the habit of chewing sticky lumps likely dates back thousands of years. Last month, students in western Finland found a piece of Stone Age birch-bark tar, believed to have been used for chewing.
