Another food recall…this time it’s green beans.
Lakeside Foods is recalling certain brands of French-cut green beans because of concerns they could be tainted with the toxin that causes botulism.

Under construction but help wanted: The Proximity Hotel in Greensboro is holding a job fair today at the O.Henry Hotel on Green Valley Road in Greensboro. Hotel representatives will be looking to hire 250 people for a variety of positions at the hotel and restaurant. The job fair runs until 9p.m. The Proximity Hotel is scheduled to open this fall.

Duke Energy has closed two boat ramps on Lake Wylie. Lake Norman and Lake Wylie have dipped to about 2 feet below their targeted levels. The closed ramps are at the Copperhead boat access area in Mecklenburg County. A 22 year old jumped over the White House fence Sunday morning.

Homeschool couple from Arkansas gives birth to child #17:
Jennifer Danielle was born last Thursday to Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar who now have 17 children. The oldest Duggar is 19 and the youngest, before Jennifer, is almost 2 years old. The Duggar’s have been the focus of numerous specials on TLC and Discovery Health.
Some of the "fun facts" listed on Discovery Health's Web page devoted to the Duggars: A baby has been born in every month except June; the Duggars have gone through an estimated 90,000 diapers, and (mamma Duggar) Michelle has been pregnant for 126 months — or 10.5 years — of her life.

Salty Sea keeps eight year afloat: A young Israeli boy has been found alive after surviving six hours alone in the Dead Sea. Rescuers said they expected to find a body, but instead found the 8-year-old "alive and well" last Friday morning floating about 2 miles offshore.
Rescuers said the boy was scared and dehydrated, but otherwise healthy.
