More Record Breaking heat possible over the next two days…

‘Rescue efforts are back to square one.” That’s the comment from the owner of the Crandall Canyon mine. Six miners remain trapped in a collapsed mine in central Utah. They usually comb through shipwrecks, but now Navy divers have joined in the search for possible victims of the deadly Minneapolis bridge collapse. Lettuce-based salads, tomatoes, and vegetables (you know the healthy stuff) were the foods that caused the most outbreaks of food poisoning in U.S. restaurants back in 2005. Seafood came in second. The research complied on Health Inspections.com.

SPORTS:
-Construction crews are now clearing the way for Winston-Salem's new downtown baseball park. The city council approved a re-zoning request on Monday. The new ballpark is expected to open by April 2009.

-Slugger Barry Bonds made history last night with homerun # 7- 5 - 6.

-Athletic officials with Wake Forest University will likely name a successor to former basketball coach Skip Prossor. A news conference is set for 11am this morning. Prossor passed away from an apparent heart attack on July 26.

You may want to use Highway 29 as an alternate route.
The work is expected to continue through August 24, 2007
