Officials in Greensboro have lifted mandatory water restrictions effective today.

More flight cancellations: American Airlines will cancel close to 600 flights today. American Airlines has so far cancelled more than three thousand of flights as it works to inspect its entire fleet of MD-80 aircraft. http://www.aa.com/
ANOTHER U.S. AIR CARRIER HAS FILED FOR BANKRUPTCY. Denver-based Frontier Airlines has filed for bankruptcy. Skybus is out, but Allegiant Air will stay at PTI.

School officials have suspended a teacher at Davie High School after two students in the school’s ‘self-defense’ club were video taped fighting each other. Sparring is not allowed in the club. The self-defense club was disbanded earlier in the week. School officials found out about the unauthorized sparring match after a video was posted on the Internet on U-Tube.

A line of severe storms stretching from Texas to Nebraska produced thunderstorms, tornadoes and even snow. Nearly 200 roads were flooded in Missouri. High winds and driving rain left nearly a quarter of a million people without power in Texas.

After running from authorities run for three months, Marine Cpl. Cesar Laurean has been captured in Mexico. Laurean is the main suspect in the killing of 20-year-old pregnant Marine Lance Cpl. Maria Lauterbach. In December, Laurean left behind a note for his wife in which he denied killing Lauterbach but admitted to burying her remains. (CNN)

PRESIDENT BUSH SAYS ALL REMAINING SURGE BRIGADES WILL BE OUT OF IRAQ BY THE END OF JULY. Army deployments will be reduced from 15 months to twelve months, for those soldiers deployed after August first.

Most families of victims of the shootings at Virginia Tech last April have agreed to an $11 million dollar state settlement. The Governor of Virginia called the agreement "very positive," but noted that families who have not agreed must be filed by April 16.

British Prime Minister Gordon Brown will not attend the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympic Games in China this summer. The Olympic torch relay continues…today the torch is in Argentina. Protests are expected. (CNN)
