Former Greensboro Mayor Keith Holliday will have a new job…president and CEO of the Carolina Theatre. MISSION AVIATION FELLOWSHIP REPORTING THAT A SHORTAGE OF AVIATION FUEL HAS GROUNDED A NUMBER OF ITS PLANES. The cost of aviation fuel has led MAF to raise money to purchase 20 Kodiak One Hundred aircraft. They use jet fuel, which is cheaper and more readily available than aviation fuel. Aviation fuel can cost as much as 12 dollars a gallon, while jet fuel runs about three-dollars-and 50 cents a gallon. (MAF)

A junior at Randleman High School was airlifted to Duke Medical Center yesterday afternoon after falling from the second-floor breezeway. The sheriff's department is investigating the incident.

This Friday will mark the 40th anniversary of the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Local Students in the Triad are heading to Memphis, Tennessee to experience the 40th anniversary.

The planned ‘Downtown Center for the Performing Arts’ is being described as a "dramatic new facility”. .It will cover four acres in downtown Winston-Salem, including the historic Sawtooth Center. The 75,000-square-foot facility will have artists' studios and exhibition space. TOBY MAC will be rappin’ for the Pope once again. The performance will be at a youth rally on April 19th during Pope Benedict's visit to New York City.

SPORTS:
-Carolina’s men’s basketball team left campus for San Antonio last night and the Final Four. The Tar Heels will play Kansas on Saturday.

-Chris Paul and LaQuanda Quick (two former West Forsyth stars) will be among those inducted into the WS/FC High School Sports Hall of Fame.
The ceremony will be May 9th at 7pm at the Benton Convention Center.
