Officials with the DOT saying that road crews are temporarily patching and filling potholes until the spring and summer, when crews can get in and do a proper repair. According to a new survey by the Barna Group, only about a fifth of Americans say that they definitely plan on making New Years' resolutions for 2011. The top pledges were related to weight loss, finances, and career. Only five percent of Americans pledged any changes in regard to church or spirituality. The preliminary report from the Arkansas Fish and Game Commission said that thousands of blackbirds that fell from the sky in Arkansas on New Years Eve died from trauma and internal bleeding. No evidence of disease or infection was found in the birds.
Christian singer and speaker Rebecca St James is engaged. Jacob Fink asked for Rebecca’s hand in marriage at her families' Tennessee home on Christmas Day, after asking her parents for their blessing. No wedding date has been set. TODD AGNEW SAYS IT WAS A SERMON SERIES AT HIS CHURCH THAT STARTED THE PROCESS FOR HIS NEW ALBUM. That album is titled "Need". The sermon series was based on First Corinthians. President Obama will sign a new ‘Food Safety Bill’ into law later today. The $1.4 billion dollar overhaul of the food safety system gives federal agencies including the FDA new power to increase inspections at food processing facilities and force companies to recall tainted products. The city manager of Thomasville has been suspended indefinitely with pay after being arrested on drug possession charges over the weekend. William "Kelly" Craver has been the city manager of Thomasville since 2006.
