The National Weather Service is stressing NO outdoor burning today due to low humidity and breezy conditions.

A 3 year old boy was killed in a house fire in Winston-Salem.
Authorities said incident occurred at about 5 yesterday afternoon at a
residence on Glencoe Street.

The FEMA has abruptly closed down one Louisiana trailer park

Bruce Gordon, president of the N-AA-CP has resigned.
Gordon’s reasons for leaving include: clashes with board members over management style and differing opinions over the organization's mission.

The Charlotte Observer reported that thousands of US Airways passengers suffered through long delays on Sunday all because of a glitch in a new reservation system implemented Saturday night.
An airline spokesman said no flights were delayed or canceled, but many missed their flights because of long waits at the ticket counter.
Delays also occurred in Philadelphia and Boston.

Police in Deerfield Beach, Florida said no one was seriously injured after an 80-year-old woman crashed her car into the town's Department of Motor Vehicle offices. An official with the Florida Division of Motor Vehicles said that the 80-year-old woman inadvertently stepped on the gas while pulling out of a parking space. She was charged with careless driving.
