non-perishable food today and Saturday at participating grocery stores during the semi-annual food drive benefiting Greensboro Urban Ministry.

At a news conference yesterday in Chapel Hill, Democratic Presidential hopeful John Edwards and wife Elizabeth saying that they will move forward together…with life and with the campaign.
Elizabeth was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2004. The cancer has returned…this time spreading to the bone.
Experts say that the cancer is considered not curable…but patients can live years in Elizabeth’s situation…each case is different.
FYI: John and Elizabeth have been married nearly 30 years and have 3 children.
A 4th child, Wade, died in a car accident in 1996.

A federal judge has blocked a law that would restrict online pornography…
striking down a 1998 U.S. law that makes it a crime for commercial Web site operators to let children access "harmful" material.
In the ruling, the judge said parents can protect their children through software filters and other less restrictive means that do not limit the rights of others to free speech.
YouTube…the video-sharing Web site will hold its first
YouTube Video Awards to recognize the best-user created videos of 2006.

Life on the road can be tough for any traveling musical group…
especially if the bus breaks down. Christian rock band Pillar was forced
to miss 3 concert dates recently after the group’s bus broke down.
The band missed shows in Knoxville, Athens and Tallahassee.
Pillar is currently on the second leg of their ‘Days of Reckoning’ Tour sponsored by ‘Invisible Children’, an outreach to gain exposure on the plight of children in Uganda.
