With tens of thousands of provisional ballots still outstanding, the Presidential race in North Carolina still remains too close to call.

The Dudley High School marching band will represent Guilford County during the Presidential Inaugural Festival in January in Washington, D.C. FYI: The Dudley band needs almost $60,000 and is performing various fundraisers but you can also make a donation by contacting band director Ricardo Reid at 336-370-8130.

The Women's Choir at Glenn High School in Forsyth County is having its annual Veteran’s Day Breakfast honoring our veterans AND Forsyth County rescue workers this Friday morning (November 7th ) starting at 7am. Save energy – Save money: The first annual Energy Star Sales Tax Holiday begins this Friday and goes through the weekend. Appliances eligible under the tax holiday include clothes washers, freezers and refrigerators, central and room air conditioners, air-source heat pumps, ceiling fans and programmable thermostats. Lawmakers in Raleigh, approved the creation of the appliance tax holiday to encourage the use of more energy efficient products.

GOOGLE AND YAHOO! HAVE DECIDED TO ABANDON AN ADVERTISING AGREEMENT AFTER THE JUSTICE DEPARTMENT THREATENED THEM WITH AN ANTI-TRUST LAW SUIT.

What a praise: A pastor who was kidnapped while traveling in Tijuana, Mexico…has been found alive. The 59-year old Southern Baptist pastor from California was taken hostage back in October. His kidnappers apparently gave up on their one million dollar ransom demand. The pastor was reportedly beaten and deprived of food and water while in captivity. Tijuana is just over the border from San Diego, California.

Maria’s Miracle Fund surpasses $700,000 dollars in donations. Following the tragic death of Maria Sue Chapman last May, Steven Curtis Chapman and his wife Mary Beth set up the Fund through their adoption and orphanage ministry, Shaohannah's Hope.
