President Bush will commemorate Veteran’s Day at a ceremony to rededicate the USS Intrepid aircraft carrier as a museum in New York City.The date for Veterans Day, November eleventh, was established at the end of World War I.

A Marine who fell 50 feet from a ledge at Pilot Mountain State Park is still in stable condition at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. 30 year old Jessie Cox was climbing with six other Marines from Camp Lejeune near the Jomeokee Trail at Pilot Mountain State Park when he fell from the ledge. www.wxii12.com/news/17949089/detail.html?rss=gws&psp=news

Members of the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina will begin offering low-interest loans to member churches for construction and expansion of properties as early as next spring. NASA saying that the Phoenix Mars Lander has gone silent. The reason: The lack of sunlight to power its solar powered batteries. The probe landed on the Red Planet back in May and actually exceeded its three-month mission by more than two months.
