North Korea is preparing to launch a communications satellite...adding to the speculation that North Korea may actually be preparing to test-fire a long-range missile. During her trip to Seoul last week, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton warned North Korea not to engage in what she called "provocative" behavior.
More than 500 people have been arrested and 48 juveniles taken into protective custody in a 29-city ‘crackdown ’ at combating child prostitution. The four dozen juveniles were recovered in the third phase of Operation Cross Country, an initiative that seeks to help child prostitutes and crack down on people who control them and patronize them. MARY MARY (‘Shackles’) IS SCHEDULED TO PERFORM AT THE WHITE HOUSE ON WEDNESDAY. The sister duo will be among of several acts performing in honor of Stevie Wonder, as he receives a Library of Congress Award. Tina Campbell says she and her sister, Erica, are excited about the path on which God has them and they plan on using, quote, "every open door to introduce others to His goodness and love."Mary Mary has been nominated for four Dove Awards.And the sisters just won a Grammy Award and an NAACP Image Award.Their new album is titled "The Sound".
Start voting on FRIDAY: The Gospel Music Association is opening up voting for ‘Artist of the Year’ and ‘New Artist of the Year’. The cumulative fan vote will account for one-third of the total votes in these two categories. The 40th annual GMA Dove Awards happens April 23rd.
