President Obama telling Fox News that he made a "mistake" in his handling of Tom Daschle's Cabinet nomination and takes full responsibility for a process that ended in Daschle withdrawing his name amid tax problems. The President is standing firm on a Feb. 16 deadline for the economic stimulus. Speaking of the economic stimulus bill…stuck inside the stimulus package. The Senate did pass a tax break to new car buyers allowing a tax deduction for the cost of automobile sales taxes and interest payments on car loans.

A second case of rabies being reported in Guilford County so far this year. The Guilford County Department of Public Health saying that a rabid fox was found on Chalmers Court in Summerfield earlier in the week. All pets, including barnyard pets such as goats, horses and cows need to be vaccinated. It’s Your Birthday...(Minnesota) A Twin Cities man was looking for a challenge on his 30th birthday. B.J. Van Beusekom decided to celebrate his 30th birthday by running on a treadmill for 24 hours straight. The birthday boy raised just over $3,000 dollars for the American Lung Association. Van Beusekom covered about 80 miles before he stopped running at noon on Tuesday…only taking breaks to use the restroom and change clothes. ‘It wasn’t mine!’ That was the explanation that an Atlanta taxi driver gave for helping to return a bag of jewelry to Miki Cooper of Naples, Florida. Miki was in Atlanta during the weekend when she left the bag on the floor of Walter Fernandez' taxi. The lost bag contained items worth thousands of dollars - three diamond rings, two one-carat diamond stud earrings and a Rolex watch. It also held her passport.
