The incident happened on Buchannan Street just after midnight.An 85-year-old elementary school crossing guard at Draper Elementary School in Eden was hit and killed yesterday morning while he was directing traffic. The director of The Children's Home saying that coyotes are a major problem on their campus. George Bryan Jr literally took a mounted coyote to the city council meeting last night. The coyote was caught on the campus of The Children's Home last year. "We've caught three so far this year." Seems like the coyote problem in Winston-Salem started around five years ago.
-City council members say they are aware of the coyote issue, but the animal control department barely has enough money to handle cats and dogs.

Two Triad TV stations will make the switch from analog to digital today…WXLV (ABC - 45) and WMYV (MyNetwork - 48) will go digital on Tuesday. The switch to digital will not affect you if you have cable or satellite. Across North Carolina, 13 of the 50 TV stations will make the switch on Tuesday.
