Recall: McNeil Consumer Healthcare (the makers of Tylenol) is voluntarily recalling certain lots of Children's and Infants' TYLENOL® liquid products that were manufactured between April, 2008 and June, 2008. The recall does not apply to Children's Tylenol Meltaways and Junior Strength Tylenol Meltaways…only to select lots of Children's and Infants' TYLENOL® liquid products. Questions? Volunteers from the Greensboro and Winston-Salem Salvation Army are in Northern Georgia to provide meals and other aid to flood victims. The Salvation Army Mobile Feeding Units from Greensboro and Winston-Salem are capable of preparing 3,000 meals over the next week.
(FYI) Flooding across northern Georgia is blamed for at least 10 deaths. Damage due to flooding across northern Georgia is estimated at $250 million dollars.

One NC County makes the divorce list? According to census figures released this week. Rockingham County is one of the U.S. counties with the highest percentage of divorced residents. Fifteen percent of Rockingham County residents are divorced, more than the national average of 10.7 percent and the N.C. average of 10.3 percent. Three of the top 10 counties are in Florida.

Forsyth Technical Community College will add a new 20,000-square-foot addition to its nursing and allied health facilities. The extra space is allowing Forsyth Tech to add new programs and increase enrollment in the state's largest community college health technology program.

Reminder: Parents of sixth-graders have until Friday to get your children updated with the T-Dap vaccination. State law (which took effect last year) requires every sixth-grader entering school after August 1st or any student who turned 12 on or after that date, to receive a T-dap booster. A GROUP OF CONSERVATIVE MEMBERS OF THE EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH IN AMERICA ARE BEGINNING THE PROCESS OF FORMING WHAT THEY CALL AN "ALTERNATIVE CHURCH FELLOWSHIP". The move is in response to a controversial vote that was cast at the ELCA's biennial convention last month. That vote cleared the way for ELCA clergy living in same-gender relationships to serve in the denomination. It also approved the blessing of same-gender unions. The effort to form an alternative fellowship is being organized by the group Lutheran Coalition for Reform, or Lutheran CORE. The group is holding a planning meeting in Indianapolis this weekend.

Singer / songwriter Matthew West recently helped distribute shoe boxes to children in Columbia (South America) through Operation Christmas Child.
Matthew West is the official spokesperson for Operation Christmas Child a ministry division of Samaritan’s Purse. During this Fall’s "The Motions Tour", Matthew will be collecting shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child. National Collection Week will be November 16 - 23, 2009

Police in Greensboro schools are armed with Tasers for the first time, but school officials were slow to find out. Actress Andie MacDowell (who starred in movies such as "Four Weddings and a Funeral" and "Groundhog Day") is raising awareness about the mass sexual assault of women and girls in the Democratic Republic of Congo through screening of the documentary "The Greatest Silence: Rape in the Congo." MacDowell has been holding screenings of the documentary at her western North Carolina home. The documentary will now be shown to a larger audience over the next couple of days…at the Fine Arts Theatre in Asheville.
FYI: The screenings will benefit Our Voice, an Asheville organization that assists rape victims.
