The Forsyth Medical Center along with Sara Lee Center for Women's Health has started the ‘Kid Smart’ program at the Southwest Forsyth Little League fields in Clemmons. Instead of a basket of French fries, the program is pushing food items like dried fruit and granola. Program director Brooke Norman wants parents and children to consider healthier options when they eat at the ballpark because she says childhood obesity is a serious problem in North Carolina.
