More mechanical trouble for BP: The latest plan to saw off a ‘riser’ pipe roughly a mile under the sea on Wednesday hit a snag when a diamond-tipped saw became stuck after slicing through about half of the blown-out oil well pipe. It took BP 12 hours to free the saw, and the company hopes to use giant shears similar to an oversized garden tool to snip off the pipe.

The book is based on an eight-part sermon series on the Lord’s Prayer that Warren delivered last year at Saddleback Church in Southern California. Warren’s earlier book, The Purpose Driven Life, is the best-selling hard-cover book in history.

Umpire Blows Pitcher's Perfect Game: You got to give it to umpire Jim Joyce -- it was a gutsy call. He called a Cleveland Indians base runner safe even though he was out, keeping Detroit Tigers pitcher Armando Galarraga from having a perfect game.
