The White House and B-P have reached an agreement where the oil company will pay damage claims resulting from the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico and support unemployed oil workers. $20 million dollars will be placed in escrow. AT&T has suspended the new iPhone pre-orders after demand overwhelmed inventory. Apple saying that over 600,000 of its new iPhone 4 have been ordered. Apple's website was accepting orders for black models only, and only for shipping by July 2.

A mother and two small children were injured after a man with ‘blue lights’ on his vehicle began chasing another vehicle along West Meadowview Road in Greensboro yesterday afternoon. Police arrested Jerry Wayne Bostic, charging him with impersonating a police officer, careless and reckless driving and leaving the scene of an accident. “It sounded like a bomb blast” A Graham man has died after being hit by lightning. Neighbors say that Horacio Ascencio was struck by lightning Tuesday evening while he was standing under an oak tree where he was playing ball with his daughter. 19 year old Ascencio died yesterday at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill. A Stokes County woman who was reported missing last week after she failed to show up at work was found Tuesday evening in a remote area of Stokes County. 42 year old Tracy Smith, of King, was found in a vehicle off Forrest Road. Smith was last seen last Tuesday, two days after she spoke with her estranged husband on the phone. The couple has a 14-year-old daughter.
