Residents in Virginia, Nebraska, Iowa and North Carolina will be on the lookout for something new in their mailboxes this summer — their driver's licenses. The new process allows drivers to go to their local DMV to take the necessary tests, have their photo taken and pay the application fee. The photograph and information is then sent to a secure central location. The completed license is later mailed to the driver. North Carolina's roll out of the new process should be active by June 30.
