TLC will air a ‘life changing’ episode of the will announce a major decision on their reality show." TLC isn't commenting on what the news will be from these parents of 8-year-old twins and 5-year-old sextuplets. But viewers who have witnessed the Gosselins' marriage coming unraveled are clearly welcome to draw their own conclusions leading up to Monday's episode. And to show up in droves to see it. Iran's supreme ‘religious’ leader said today that the country's disputed presidential elections had not been rigged, sternly warning protesters of a crackdown if they continue massive demonstrations demanding a new election. Ayatollah Ali Khamenei siding with hardline President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Pro-Mousavi Web sites are planning another protest for Saturday afternoon.

The youth group from Living Word Family Church in Raleigh…on a three-day “Survivor Challenge” camping trip …got a little more ‘adventure’ than they sign up for yesterday. Emergency officials rescued nine boys (ages 10 to 12) from the Uwharrie River (in Montgomery County) after their youth group became separated during a kayaking trip. All the boys were wearing life jackets…No serious injuries were reported.

We didn’t even know. That was the response from passengers on a flight from Belgium to New Jersey when they finally found out that one of their pilots PASSED AWAY...sometime during their flight. Passengers told the New York Times that a call was put out for any doctors who might be on board about half-way through the flight. After the pilot became ill…the two first officers took control of the Continental passenger plane and completed the flight. The airline says that the 60-year old pilot passed away of natural causes.

The US military is following up on intelligence reports that North Korea is planning on another ‘missile test’…the potential target: Hawaii??? The test launch may be carried out as early as next month.

Mike Weaver (the lead singer with Big Daddy Weave) is halfway through his 90-in-09 Challenge. Six months into his self-imposed challenge, Mike has lost half the weight -- 45 pounds -- and has hit a plateau. Describing it as the "most trying part of the journey so far…" At the same time, the front man for Big Daddy Weave says he's encouraged by the support of his friends, fans and the voice of God, cheering him on to obedience despite what he sees on the scale.While Mark says he's confident he'll reach this year's goal of losing 90 pounds, he's learned that weight loss is, quote, "not nearly as important as simple obedience." www.bigdaddyweave.com

The Tarheels have been eliminated from the College World Series. Arizona State over Carolina…12-5.

The US Open: 22 year old Drew Weaver (High Point resident and recent Virginia Tech graduate) actually managed to play some golf yesterday before the first round of the U.S. Open was postponed because of rain. Drew is playing in his third major championship.

Jeff Garrison from Arcadia won a 20-lap Sportsman division event at Bowman Gray Stadium last weekend. Garrison, who nipped driver Mitch Gales by a half a car length, won for the first time at Bowman Gray and was so shocked he had a little trouble rattling off his sponsors. "They know who they are," Garrison told the crowd.
