Class ring and yearbook maker Jostens will close its manufacturing operations in Winston-Salem…cutting 185 jobs. All eligible employees will be offered a severance package and outplacement help. Guilford County school officials are closing Oak Ridge Elementary for the summer to try and find a solution to health problems experienced by faculty, staff and students. Earlier in the week, a group of concerned parents brought in their own expert to assess what is making students and some teachers sick. Their finding: black mold. The Guilford County Health Department also released results of a survey from those attending or working at the school. One of the findings: symptoms disappeared once they left the school.

PRESIDENT OBAMA IS EXPECTED TO SIGN AN EXECUTIVE ORDER TODAY THAT WILL EXTEND HEALTH CARE AND OTHER BENEFITS TO THE SAME-GENDER PARTNERS OF FEDERAL EMPLOYEES. The move comes as the President faces criticism from the homosexual community for not repealing the military's “don't ask, don't tell” policy.

NASA will try again in July. This morning’s scheduled launch of Space Shuttle Endeavour has been scrubbed…due to an ongoing hydrogen gas leak. The next launch: the evening of July 11th.

BRITISH AIRWAYS IS ASKING THOUSANDS OF ITS EMPLOYEES TO CONSIDER WORKING FOR FREE FOR ONE MONTH TO HELP THE AIRLINE SURVIVE. The airline e-mailed more than 30-thousand of its workers asking them to ‘volunteer’ their services for up to a month. The British Airways CEO has already agreed to forfeit his salary next month.

Vision America suggesting that the bill could jeopardize the free speech rights of pastors and others. More than 60 conservative leaders signed the letter…including Dr. James Dobson (founder of Focus on the Family).

A 3-year-old child suffered second degree burns at a Greensboro Japanese steakhouse on Monday. The accident happened at Kabuto Japanese steakhouse, off Wendover Avenue, when a chef ignited some food and hot oil spilled onto the table where the child was seated. (College World Series - Omaha) North Carolina tied a CWS single-game record with 23 hits in an 11-4 victory over Southern Mississippi yesterday. The Tarheels will play Arizona State on Thursday night.

Minor League Baseball: The Winston-Salem Dash clinched the first-half title in the Southern Division with a 4-1 win over the Frederick Keys last night. The Dash and Keys play at noon today (weather permitting) at Wake Forest Baseball Park
