DAVID ROGERS, THE SON OF THE LATE PASTOR ADRIAN ROGERS IS RESIGNING AFTER 19 YEARS AS A BAPTIST MISSIONARY IN SPAIN. Rogers says his decision to leave the mission field has nothing to do with his disagreement with the SBC over the issue of speaking in tongues. Three years ago he wrote the International Mission Board trustees to their decision to ban missionaries who admit to using a private prayer language. The decision to leave the IMB, he says, was based solely on the health issues of a family member. Rogers' father, Adrian Rogers, passed away in 2005, after more than 50 years in ministry. David Rogers and his wife will be living in Memphis, where David will work full time with the Adrian Rogers Pastor Training Institute.
