Officials with the Guilford County School system have a proposal on the table to ‘stagger’ start times for elementary, middle and high schools in August. If approved, bus drivers would make three runs instead of just two. The new bus schedule would create shorter bus runs and relieve some current school bus overcrowding. http://www.myfox8.com/news/wghp-story-bus-tier-110202,0,2147623.story

More than 110,000 people attended the U.S. Figure Skating Championships in Greensboro during the event's nine-day run. The positive economic impact from the event in the Triad is just behind the High Point Furniture Market. The Triad drowning in debt?? A study by Equifax showing that residents in Winston-Salem owe an average of 15% of their income in credit card debt, giving the Twin City the 10th worst debt percentage in the nation. BTW: Someone making $42,000 dollars a year, the average credit card debt is around $6,500. Four of the 10 cities with the most credit card debt in the study are in North Carolina…including Wilmington, Asheville and Fayetteville. www.myfox8.com/news/wghp-story-credit-card-debt-110202,0,6577769.story

A group of enterprising students from the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth decided to make the most of the record-setting snowfall over the past few days by trying to setting a record of their own -- creating the world's largest snowball. It took about two hours for a group of nine students to roll a massive 7-foot, 4-inch snowball on a field at the school. Wes Fowlks, a Computer Science graduate student, said the ball has a circumference of 23 feet, 2 inches -- more than a foot bigger than the current Guinness World Record-holding snowball. The current snowball record is held by a person from Germany. The Dartmouth snowball was measured by a professor of the school's Civil Engineering Department. The team has submitted the information to Guinness. www.thebostonchannel.com/news/26712471/detail.html

"I'm NO hoarder…I just like to collect different things." So says Mike Worth of Morgan County.
Mike Worth said it all started from a few childhood ‘collections’ and after 29 years of accumulation, it has turned into an overwhelming sight. Mike says that he has to “climb over things, jump over things, sometimes I twist my ankle.” In reality…Worth wants to get rid of all his stuff, marry his longtime girlfriend and start his life over. That includes a two story house with a swimming pool, three cars, a boat, and rooms packed full of stuff…worth about $6 million, but he's selling it for $1 million. Mike has five storage units with just as much stuff. Mike has put ALL  his stuff up for auction on eBay. Bottom line: Mike wants to find a buyer, hand it all over and leave the property in a cab with nothing.  http://www.myfox8.com/news/whnt-morgan-county-man-buy-my-life-01262011,0,7312468.story
