All smiles and positive comments from Tom Walter and Kevin Jordan yesterday during a media press conference at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. Earlier in the week, Tom, the baseball coach at Wake Forest University, donated one of his own kidneys to Kevin, a freshman player recruited by the University. Kevin was diagnosed with an auto-immune disorder last April that eventually left him with only 8% kidney function by November…requiring daily dialysis. When Jordan's family wasn't a match for a transplant, Coach Walter stepped up. Both Tom and Kevin should be out of the hospital by Friday.  Because of the surgery, Kevin has been ‘red shirted’ this spring but will return to classes this summer.
