Dr. Keith Phillips (with Phillips and Cuthrell / Winston-Salem Dentistry) is one of seven missionaries from NC that are stuck in the West African nation of Cameroon. The missionaries are not in imminent danger. Protests over high food and fuel prices in Cameroon have led to at least 17 deaths since the rioting began last weekend.
Dr Phillips is a resident of Yadkin County and founder of the Giving Hand Foundation. Members of the Giving Hand Foundation were helping locals with free and reduced dental clinics in Cameroon. (Mount Airy News)
