Breaking News: Officials at Duke University have scheduled a meeting to discuss the nation's current ‘swine flu’ emergency and how to respond.

A ‘public health emergency’ has been declared by both the Obama administration and the World Health Organization because of the recent outbreak of Swine Flu. Three countries (Mexico, Canada and the US) have confirmed cases of Swine Flu.

-20 ‘mild’ cases of Swine Flu have been reported in five states in the US.
In Mexico, at least 103 fatalities have been reported…more than 1,600 people have been infected.
-Multiple airlines, including American, United, Continental and US Airways are waiving their usual penalties for changing reservations for anyone traveling to Mexico. So far, the airlines have not canceled flights.
-The U.S. hasn't advised against travel to Mexico but does urge precautions such as frequent hand-washing while there, and began questioning arriving travelers about flu symptoms.
President Barack Obama is set to address the health crisis later today.

Firefighters continue to contain a wildfire in North Myrtle Beach. Good News: the wildfires were 85% contained by Sunday afternoon. Bad News: Shifting winds later today could cause the fire to possibly spread to different neighborhoods. (Forecast: Sunny and breezy)
Seven Horry County schools are on a 2-hour delay this morning. The fire - which started Wednesday, has destroyed 70 houses and close to 20,000 acres have been burned. www.thesunnews.com/

The Triad's unemployment rate declined slightly in March to 10.2%. According to the N.C. Employment Security Commission, this is the first decline in six months.
